Revision as of 11:37, 3 October 2018
1) Condition the electron gun (30 mins)
2) Purge the gas line (10 mins) - open up the Argon gas bottle (outside the lab) ensure that there is pressure both in the bottle & in the line. - follow instructions on the wall to purge the line (ADD HERE) - leave the green valve OPEN during experiment operations. CLOSE it when you're done. (DO NOT fully open the VAT valve during operations - the Argon will completely fill the vacuum vessel. Fail.)
3) Switch on wavefunction generators, oscilloscopes and amplifiers
4) Prepare LabView for controls with correct waveform files
5) Make sure the experiment timing is correct
6) Set the VAT valve to ensure correct gas pressure
